Dry
Stone Walling
For centuries, boundaries between
farms and pastures have been divided by dry stone
walls, many of which are still standing an dare particularly
evident in the Peaks and the North of the country.
As the test of time has shown, dry stone walls require
very little maintenance, look better than fencing
and last for years.
In some cases, some older walls have
been neglected over the many years they have been standing.
At Special Branch we can as our photographs show, strip
out a damaged wall and re-build a solid dry stone wall
using traditional methods and materials to Peak District
Park standards that will last for many years.
As well as renovation, dry stone walling
is now popular as a boundary in landscaping gardens
for new housing or established plots where it is an
investment that will last years with little maintenance
and will add value to the property.
Special Branch
will be happy to give you a quote on renovation of
dry stone walls or to undertake building of a new wall. |
